Lucas Tischler trained at the Metropolitan Ballet Academy in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania and joined The School of Pennsylvania Ballet, performing roles in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and Christopher Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals.

Tischler then moved to Manhattan and trained at Ballet Academy East. During his time there, he performed the principal male role in George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations, in addition to dancing works by Alan Hineline, Claudia Schreier, and Jenna Lavin. From there, he joined Joffrey Ballet Chicago as a trainee.

Tischler attended the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive in 2018, and was invited to join the Studio Company for the 2018/19 season.  Last season he performed in August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, and was featured as Hansel in the Studio Company’s performances of Walker Martin’s Hansel & Gretel.
