We are so excited to announce a variety of new classes for our youngest dancers starting in September.
Creative Movement Classes will now be part of our Community Engagement Programs and reflect our commitment to equity, inclusivity and access. Here is what that means for you:
· FLEXIBILITY: Classes will be short term enrollment with a 3 or 4 week duration. Each month is an opportunity to continue class, switch to a different class time, or take a break. Watch for new class offerings each month as we explore new themes and seasonal activities.
· AFFORDABLE: It is important to us that class for our youngest dancers be affordable and accessible for all families. Class Fees will be offered on a sliding/pay-what-you-can scale (see our pricing policy at the bottom of this page).
· iCLASS PRO: Registration will be through iClass Pro- but you must create an account with our Community Engagement profile. If you have previously created an iClass Pro account with the Yvonne Chouteau School, you must create a new one.

· QUALIFIED, SAFE TEACHERS: Classes will be taught by committed Teaching Artists who are qualified, thoroughly trained, and background checked.
· INDEPENDENT KIDS - BUT WITH GROWN-UPS CLOSE BY: Classes will be held at our community space, Five Moons Studio, located at 6917 N Classen Blvd. This is directly across the street from our main building. Parents can walk their dancer in and wait in our parent lounge. Dancers can participate independently in class while grown-ups are close for restroom help etc. Grown-ups cannot watch class, but you can hear class and relax steps away from where class is happening.

3…2…1…BLAST OFF! Join us for an outer space dance exploration! Let’s move, stretch, play, use our imagination, and dance to build coordination, motor skills, and spatial awareness. Our “dancing astronauts” will also work on listening and following directions. This class will include creative play, as well as fun, hands-on activities with props to create an “Out of this World” experience.
Class is for space explorers who are confidently using the restroom.
WHAT TO WEAR: leotard, tights, shorts, athletic wear comfy clothes and spacesuits are encouraged. Soft ballet slippers or socks will be perfect for moon walking.

Oklahoma City Ballet Community Engagement is committed to access, equity, and inclusive pricing policies. In addition to our many free community programs, we offer sliding scale pricing for our paid adult classes. With each class listing, “Minimum Value” indicates the lowest amount to pay for class. “Class Value” is the full cost of the class. You may select either value or any amount between those two numbers to pay for class.
If you would like to pay more than the Class Value, any surplus goes toward supporting our free and low cost Community Engagement Programs.
