Anna Jans of Montevideo, Minnesota began her dance journey in 2006. She loved teaching right from the start a soaked up every opportunity she could find. She took her unconventional dance career through Hawaii, Colorado, and finally to Oklahoma. Throughout her travels she studied various dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, ballroom, and her all-time favorite, country western. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma from 2016-2020 where she graduated from the Department of Dance with a BA in Dance Administration. Here she studied Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Improvisation, Composition, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, Aerial, and Contemporary. She is currently on track to graduate with her MBA in the spring of 2021. Jans has a passion for teaching and sharing a creative space with her students. She also strives to apply her creativity and business degrees in her position as the Yvonne Chouteau School Registrar.
