Alison Ramoran

Alison Ramoran, from Torrance, CA, trained with Diane Lauridsen at Lauridsen Ballet Centre for 12 years. While there, she performed with their pre-professional company, South Bay Ballet (now called Ballet California), and trained with Candice Glass Davis, Evyn Davis, Kenneth Walker, Jerry Kokich, Elijah Pressman, Vicki Lambert, Nancy Hebson, and Tiffany Billings. While dancing with South Bay Ballet, she also attended many Regional Dance America/Pacific Festivals, now known as The Ballet Alliance, where she trained with various teachers from across the country, and performed various works. She also received additional training at summer intensives with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet.

Ramoran joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a Studio Company member in 2018, was promoted to apprentice in 2020, and in 2021 joined the corps de ballet. Her repertoire includes works by Septime Webre, August Bournonville, Eva Stone, Robert Kelley, Vicky Lambert, and Robert Mills.

Her favorite roles include Firebird in The Firebird, Clara in The Nutcracker, and Wendy Darling in Peter Pan. Ramoran was also presented the Daily Breeze “Making a Difference Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Arts” by the California Legislature Assembly at the 2017 Torrance Performing Arts Consortium. During the summer, she teaches at her hometown studio, Lauridsen Ballet Centre.
