While there are different interpretations of Rock Glam, depending on what decade you’re looking at, there are some universal elements.

Ladies:

• Be flamboyant, flashy! This is not the event to go understated and elegant. Wear the embellished gown, sequin jacket, fringe skirt, or neon chiffon dress with handkerchief hem.
• Or take a simple black gown, add bling and style with a leather jacket and platform heels, and voila!
• Dramatic make-up and hair can go a long way to pull off the look. Adding eclectic accessories such as chokers or flowing scarves can also help to create your Rock Glam image.

Gentlemen:

• This is the time to bring out the glitz with sequin jackets or shirts.
• For another mood, wear leather pants with a tuxedo jacket.
• For inspiration, look up David Bowie, one of the original stars of Rock Glam or Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips of course!
