DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION
Meghan Buchanan is an accomplished professional in the film and theater industry with extensive experience in both Oklahoma and New York City. In Oklahoma, she has contributed to notable projects such as Twisters, Tulsa King, Reservation Dogs, and American Underdog. Prior to her move to Oklahoma, Meghan co-founded Paper Mache Monkey Art and Design Studio in New York City where she was instrumental in designing and building set pieces, props, and puppets for a variety of prestigious stage productions.
Her New York City credits include work on various Broadway shows such as Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson and The Merchant of Venice, as well as Once on this Island at Papermill Playhouse, Saturday Night Live, New York Fashion Week, and Billy on the Street. Meghan was a key member of the Tony and Obie Award-winning scenic design team led by Donyale Werle for Peter and the Starcatcher. Her contributions to this production spanned its runs at New York Theater Workshop, The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway, New World Stages, and the 1st National Tour.
In addition to her work in production, Meghan has held the position of Prop Master and artisan for numerous productions at the Public Theater, including Into the Woods, Hair, and Mother Courage. She has also shared her expertise through teaching technical theater, props, scenic painting, and design at institutions such as The Actors Studio, The University of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma City University.
Currently, Meghan serves as the Director of Production at the Oklahoma City Ballet, where she continues to contribute her skills and experience to the performing arts community. In her free time, Meghan enjoys painting, embroidering, and spending time with her family. In addition to her many responsibilities, she is the official wand-maker of the OKC Ballet.
