HEIDI BROOKS

Heidi Brooks, raised in Phoenix, Arizona began dancing at the age of three and is classically trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary. Heidi received her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Entrepreneurship with an emphasis in Dance Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma. Heidi also holds a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma.

Heidi teaches various Community Engagement classes throughout the OKC metro and surrounding cities. She teaches ballet with our Dance Discovery program, as well as Moves & Grooves and Dance for Parkinson's Disease with our senior programs.

With over 10 years of non-profit and government policy experience, Heidi has found a deep love for community engagement and grant funding to further the Oklahoma Arts Sector.  Heidi’s non-profit dance experience ranges from working with Prairie Dance Theatre, Perpetual Motion Modern Dance Company, and R.A.C.E. Dance Collective. These past experiences have all led to Heidi’s values for community development through accessibility and being an arts advocate.
