Zane Winders

Zane Winders, originally from Levelland, Texas, began his formal training at Ballet Lubbock in 2009. In 2011 he was accepted into the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. where he trained with Nikolai Kabaniev and Nikoloz Makhateli.

Upon graduating from the Kirov Academy in 2014, he joined Ballet Arizona's Studio Company, where he spent two years performing with the school and company. He then moved to Delaware to join First State Ballet Theatre where his repertoire included principal and soloist roles.

Winders joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a corps de ballet member in 2020. His repertoire includes works by George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Marius Petipa, Viktor Plotnikov, Alex Buckner, Caili Quan, Pasha Kambalov, Robert Mills, Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, Septime Webre, Mayim Stiller, DaYoung Jung, Colleen Neary, and Thordal Christensen. Favorite roles include Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Basilio in Don Quixote, and Hans in The Nutcracker.

Winders is also an international guest artist, making appearances in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Indiana, California, and Guatemala. In addition to performing, Winders has been a ballet instructor, guest master class instructor, competition coach, and is a Special Dance Representative with the Classical Dance Alliance.
