Joined OKC Ballet in 2020
Wojciech Ogloza, from Ridgecrest, California, began classical training at age 15. He moved to Nevada to attend Kwak Ballet Academy receiving instruction from Kyudong Kwak and Yoomi Lee for a year and a half. Ogloza attended City Ballet in San Francisco where he worked with Nikolai Kabaniaev and Galina Alexandrova for two years. While working with City Ballet he performed many demanding roles such as the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty, Cavalier in The Nutcracker, and Albrecht in Giselle.
After attending American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive, he was offered a traineeship with Julie Kent at The Washington Ballet in Washington D.C. for one season. He then was made a Professional Division Dancer at Pacific Northwest Ballet for a season after attending their summer intensive. At Pacific Northwest Ballet, he received direction from Peter Boal and Kiyon Gaines. While at Pacific Northwest Ballet he learned ballets such as George Balanchine’s Jewels and The Nutcracker. He was also given the opportunity to play the Prince in Snow White.
Ogloza danced at Kansas City Ballet as a second company member under the direction of Devon Carney, Kristi Capps, Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, and others. He then danced with Northwest Arkansas Ballet Theatre as a company member under the direction of Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye. He had the opportunity to dance Cavalier and Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker, Prince in Cinderella, and in lead roles in works from guest choreographers such as Stephanie Martinez’s Otra Vez. This is Ogloza’s first season with Oklahoma City Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member.
