Morgan Dunham

Morgan Dunham is originally from Austin, TX. “I don’t remember a point in my life where I wasn’t dancing. My mother needed something for me to do while she was teaching ballet and put me in a class across the hall, and I just never left.” Morgan originally focused on competitive jazz and contemporary, but began focusing on ballet in order to pursue a professional career. She began her training under Meredith Dunham at ONE Academy of Dance, where she studied the Cecchetti Method from many incredible teachers, including Renata Sanford, Deidre Russell, Dr. Kathleen Tenniswood-Powell, Ann Parsley, June Smith, Karla Harris, and Lee Ann King.

Morgan progressed through the syllabus and is a Cecchetti Certified Intermediate Graduate, and a Certified Primary and Grade 1 teacher. She has also been fortunate to attend summer programs at Houston Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Oklahoma City Ballet, and CCA Summer School. She spent a year training under Grace Holmes, Rachel Nye, Dmitry Trubchanov, Kimberly Cowen, and Pamela Carney at the Kansas City Ballet School before joining Nevada Ballet Theatre as a Trainee in the fall of 2018. She is currently a Trainee with Oklahoma City Ballet and looks forward to entering her second season as a part of OKCB.

Morgan has been honored to perform alongside Cirque du Soleil and in ballets choreographed by Ben Stevenson, Devon Carney, Robert Mills, and James Canfield. She has also been honored to receive recognition at YAGP, placing in the Top 12 in Senior Contemporary. As well as, receiving the Carolyn Thrythall Scholarship to the CCA Summer School, and scholarships to the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive Programs.
