Mickayla Carr

Mickayla Carr, originally from Arlington, Texas, trained with Chung-Lin and Enrica Tseng at Ballet Frontier for four years. Carr joined Oklahoma City Ballet as an apprentice in 2016 and joined the corps de ballet in 2018. Her repertoire includes works by Agnes de Mille, August Bournonville, George Balanchine, Gerald Arpino, Michael Pink, Nicolo Fonte, Robert Mills, Roy Tobias, Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, Septime Webre and Val Caniparoli. Her favorite roles include Jumping Girl from Gerald Arpino's Birthday Variations, a Vampiress from Michael Pink’s Dracula, a Rose from Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and she enjoyed also being a part of Nicolo Fonte's world premiere Of Dreams and Dice.

Carr is a ballet instructor and company teacher at Dance Phase Studio in Edmond. She is also a guest teacher for Tupelo Ballet, Ballet Center of Fort Worth, and Ballet North Texas.
