Joined OKC Ballet in 2016
Alexandra Schooling began her training at the Lancaster School of Ballet in Pennsylvania then continued her training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. While at CPYB, she performed in Swan Lake, and in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Serenade, and Raymonda Variations.
Schooling graduated with honors from Butler University with degrees in Dance Performance and Peace and Conflict Studies. At Butler, she performed featured roles such as Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty and Arabian in The Nutcracker. She also had the opportunity to create leading roles in works by various choreographers.
Schooling attended Oklahoma City Ballet’s Summer Intensive in 2016, and joined Oklahoma CIty Ballet as an Apprentice that year. She was promoted to Corps de Ballet for the 2018/19 season. With Oklahoma City Ballet she has danced in George Balanchine’s Serenade, August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, and Robert Mills’ The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Little Mermaid, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has also been featured in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments.
