Joined OKC Ballet in 2016
Alexandra Schooling began her training at Ballet Theatre of Lancaster with Viktor Yeliohin in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She went on to train with Marcia Dale Weary at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB). She graduated with honors from Butler University with degrees in Dance Performance and Peace and Conflict Studies.
Schooling joined Oklahoma City Ballet as an apprentice in 2016 and was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2018. Her repertoire includes works by Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, George Balanchine, Penny Saunders, Septime Webre, Michael Pink, August Bournonville, Derek Reid, and Susan McGuire. She has had the opportunity to originate a featured role in Nicolo Fonte’s Of Dreams and Dice and has had the pleasure to perform as Second Theme Soloist in The Four Temperaments, in Pushing Pennies by Robert Mills, as Arabian Coffee in The Nutcracker, and in Jessica Lang’s To Familiar Spaces in a Dream.
Schooling received Outstanding Performance Awards from Butler University in 2014 and 2015 and is currently teaching ballet and Pilates at CeCe Farha’s Range of Motion Dance Studio. Schooling has choreographed multiple original works for Future Voices: A Choreographic Showcase, as well as for Central Oklahoma Dance Company and looks forward to sharing more creations with the community.
