COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS

VOLUNTEER

Oklahoma City Ballet is always looking for volunteers for its community programming, especially for its Dance for Parkinson's and Chance to Dance classes. Volunteers are a great addition to the class in helping engage our participants. The biggest job as a volunteer is to be a cheerleader for our dancers, letting them know they are doing a great job!

Many of our participants are isolated with little interactions with our community. You become a part of the community created in our dance spaces, providing friendly interaction and support before, during, and after class. Your welcoming attitude will help to erase their fears of participating in class and help them feel comfortable. You do not have to commit to attending every class, however some sort of consistency is appreciated.

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE:

  • Dance for Parkinson’s Monday/Thursday 1:00-2:00
  • Chance to Dance Saturday 10:00-11:00

All classes take place at the Oklahoma City Ballet Susan E. Brackett Dance Studios located at 6800 N. Classen Blvd.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email a member of our BRIDGE team at BRIDGE@okcballet.org or call (405) 208-8881.
