Swan Lake: Sensory Friendly

Civic Center Music Hall

Swan Lake is the epitome of ballet with elegant ballerinas, chivalrous princes, and heart-wrenching music by Tchaikovsky.

THE STORY
Swan Lake is a classic tale of love, magic, tragedy, and romance. The ballet centers around two star-crossed lovers, Prince Siegfried and Odette, a swan princess under the spell of the evil Von Rothbart. Cursed to live as a swan in a lake created by the tears of her mother, Odette is able to transform back into her beautiful human form at night. When the prince and princess meet, they quickly fall in love, but the sorcerer who has cursed the princess continues to wreak havoc on the couple. A happy ending prevails, however, and the prince and princess live happily ever after.

Whether you’re a seasoned ballet lover or new to the art form, Swan Lake is a must-see. Its enduring popularity has inspired Oklahoma City Ballet to bring it back for two weekends, giving you the chance to enjoy a fresh cast or uncover new details you missed the first time. Don’t miss this breathtaking experience.
