The show must go on, and there’s no better way to experience Oklahoma City Ballet than by becoming a season subscriber. What does that mean to be a season subscriber? It means selecting either a 3-show or 4-show package so you get to see it all. It also means saving time, saving money, having exclusive exchange privileges, and so much more.
Oklahoma City Ballet will KEEP ON DANCING. This season, we will revisit past fairytale ballets reimagined into one-act story lines, in order to avoid intermissions. This may be a great time for our young patrons and ballet newcomers to attend a performance!
Unfortunately, our fall productions of (e)motion(s), A Triple Bill and Cinderella will be cancelled and we will open our season with The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet, featuring excerpts of your favorite characters from the Kingdom of Sweets. This season is full of magic and wonderful stories aimed at letting our audience escape from reality into the beauty of ballet!
The 2020/21 Season Reimagined will include:
There will still be fabulous music, sets, costumes, and beautifully choreographed dancers. The Ballet is here to provide you with the safest and best experience in order to attend our performances in what is currently our new normal.
Some of the productions that were scheduled for this year could not fit into one act. They will be shifted to the 2021/22 Season, our 50th Anniversary Season.

Q: What happened to Cinderella?
A: In the interest of keeping our dancers, staff, and patrons safe, we decided that October was too early to open with such a large production. And because of the popularity and scale of Cinderella, we didn’t want to cut it down to one act, but rather save it for another season when we can do all three acts and do them right.
Q: I am a season subscriber, will I still be able to sit in my usual season ticket seats?
A: While we will do our best to keep you in your normal seats, your seat location my be different this year. Expect to be in the same area, for example, if your seats are in Lower Orchestra you can expect to sit in the Lower Orchestra section. Due to social distancing requirements, there are fewer seats available.
You should have the same seats all season, or for as long as social distancing mandates are in place.
Q: Will you be requiring social distancing and masks at these performances?
A: Yes, the Civic Center Music Hall requires masks, social distancing, and temperature checks. More complete details can be found on our updates page.
Q: Why are all of the performances one hour?
A: After research conducted by many performing arts organizations across the country, it is deemed best practices to avoid intermissions, therefore, all performances will be one hour or less without an intermission.
Q: Will I still be able to purchase a souvenir at The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet?
A: Nutcracker souvenirs and Oklahoma City Ballet merchandise will be sold online only this year and are available now. Click here to shop the Nutcracker Boutique without any lines and with plenty of time before the holidays.
Q: How can I see Robert’s A Little Peace that was going to be premiered in April (then September) as part of (e)motion(s), A Triple Bill?
A: You can still see A Little Peace in March at the Susan E. Brackett Dance Center as part of Future Voices. Please note that A Little Peace will be a shorter version of what was originally planned.
Q: What do I get when I purchase a 3-show season subscription package?
A: You will get tickets to The Firebird and The Little Mermaid, plus your choice of either The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet or Future Voices.
Q: What do I get when I purchase a 4-show season subscription package?
A: You will get tickets to The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet, The Firebird, Future Voices, and The Little Mermaid.
Q: When can I buy single tickets to The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet, The Firebird, Future Voices, and/or The Little Mermaid if I don’t want to buy a subscription?
A: Single tickets for all performances will go on sale November 2, however subscribers will get to buy additional single tickets starting October 24.
Q: Will all the shows be at the Civic Center?
A: Productions of The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet, The Firebird, and The Little Mermaid will be performed at the Civic Center Music Hall. We also have a performance of shorter works (including Robert Mills’ A Little Peace) at the Susan E. Brackett Dance Center, 6800 North Classen Blvd, OKC, in March.
Q: I’m not interested in these shows, but would still like to support the Ballet. How can I do this?
A: Tax deductible donations can be made anytime! For more information, please visit our support page. Thank you in advance - we need your help this year.
Q: Will we be able to see Cinderella next season?
A: Cinderella will not be a part of the 2021/22 season, because we will reprise the very popular production of Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland).
Q: How do I request a refund?
A: You can call or email our Box Office during business hours. You can also visit and fill out the Refund Form page without calling or emailing. Please allow 48-72 hours for credit card processing and 2-4 weeks if you paid by check.
