Oklahoma City Youth Ballet

The Oklahoma City Youth Ballet is a performing ensemble comprised of students from Levels 5 and 6 at The Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School, and directed by Penny Askew.  Selected via audition, these pre-professional dancers present a Fall and Spring Concert each Season, participate in productions such as The Nutcracker with our professional company, and perform in the end-of-year Spring Performance and for other events such as the Oklahoma City Arts Festival whenever possible.

Dancers for 2017-2018 include Isabella Armstrong, Mia Boggs, Isabel Bozarth, Sarah Chapman, Kameryn Frazier, Anamarie Haddock, Brenna Murphy, Milo Powell, Nola Powell, Alexandra Roberts, Jacob Seagraves, Sydney Swearingen, Briana Wernke, and Hannah White.

Spring Concert 2018 is scheduled for Saturday, April 28 at 7pm and will be presented at the ballet’s new facility, the Susan E. Brackett Dance Center. The dancers will present several works, including choreography by Penny Askew, Austin Hartel, and Oklahoma City Ballet’s Amanda Herd-Popejoy. The OKC Ballet Trainees will also perform on the program. Tickets are $7, and are on-sale now.
