Victoria Bearden began her training with Houston Ballet prior to joining Ballet West in 1999. Bearden rose to the rank of Demi-Soloist and retired from Ballet West in 2010.
Bearden’s performance highlights included lead roles as Cio Cio San in Stanton Welch’s Madame Butterfly, Constance in Andre Provosky’s The Three Musketeers, Cinderella in Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. Her other featured roles include the pas de deux in Antony Tudor’s The Leaves are Fading, Tie Girl in Sir Christopher Bruce’s Ghost Dances, and as one of the Two Girls in Les Biches. Bearden has had the privilege of performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., at the Joyce Theater in New York City and in the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland.
Bearden has served as a faculty member at Ballet West Academy as well as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Utah’s Ballet Department. She lives in Norman, OK with her husband and two children. Bearden teaches for both the professional company and the trainee program at Oklahoma City Ballet.
