Rayleigh Vendt began her training at Lisa Slagle’s Ballet Academy of Texas in Coppell. She joined Cincinnati Ballet as a trainee in 2012, where she performed roles with the company in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and Victoria Morgan’s Romeo and Juliet.
From 2013 to 2015, Vendt was a member of Ballet Austin II and danced in George Balanchine’s Agon and Nick Kepley’s Season of Innocence.
Since joining Oklahoma City Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member in 2015, Vendt has performed in ballets such as August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland), and Robert Mills’ The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has been featured in Helen Pickett’s Petal and Robert Mills’ Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Means To Fly. She also performed the roles of Kissing Girl in Agnes DeMille’s Rodeo, Russian Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade, and Melancholic demi-soloist in Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments.
