Micah was born and raised in Houston, Texas. At the age of 5, he began his training in ballet, tap, and jazz at the Dance Center of Baytown. Micah continued his training at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Dance, where he received his BFA in Ballet Performance. He performed in Oklahoma Festival Ballet as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, and has performed works by Alejandro Cerrudo, Trey Mcintyre, Amy Hall Garner, Nilas Martins, Mary Margaret Holt and Michael Bearden. Micah has also performed with Contemporary Dance Oklahoma in works by Merce Cunningham, Austin Hartel, and Roxanne Lyst. Micah had the opportunity to join Oklahoma City Ballet’s Studio Company in the first year of their joint trainee program with OU and performed in the Russian Dance for Robert Mill’s The Nutcracker. Micah is excited to continue his journey with Oklahoma City Ballet as an Apprentice for the 2019/2020 Season. He would like to thank his family and many teachers and mentors who have supported him throughout the years.
