Lynna Tallchief received her Bachelor Degree in Dance Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, under the direction of Jamie Jacobson. Upon graduating, she danced professionally with Prairie Dance Theatre and Hartel Dance Group, and is the Founder and Director of Pseudodance Theatre, a local performance art group whose mission is to collaborate with local visual and performing artists to create work in alternative venues. Tallchief received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance Performance from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. She served as the Coordinator for the Dance Minor program at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and taught at the American College Dance Association’s Central Region Conference.
Tallchief is also an American Ballet Theatre® Affiliate Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum and has successfully presented students for examinations. She joined the staff of Oklahoma City Ballet in 2012 as Company Manager and is currently the Administrator for The Oklahoma Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School, in addition to being on faculty.
