Ms. Troester began dancing at the Academy of Ballet and Theatre Arts in Oklahoma City under the direction of Lisa Webb. She also trained at several prestigious summer intensives on scholarship. At age 17, she joined Kansas City Ballet as a trainee. There, she performed in Devon Carney’s Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and his debut Nutcracker, as well as George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, Bruce Well’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, André Prokovsky’s The Three Musketeers, Viktor Plotnikov’s Vesna, and multiple contemporary world premieres. In 2017, she joined Oklahoma City Ballet’s Studio Company and performed in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and The Little Mermaid. Ms. Troester is very grateful and excited to be returning as a company apprentice and dance in her hometown.
