Ms. Troester began dancing at the Academy of Ballet and Theater Arts in Oklahoma City under the direction of Lisa Webb. She also trained at several prestigious summer intensives on scholarship. At age 17, she joined Kansas City Ballet as a Trainee. There, she performed in Devon Carney’s Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, Bruce Well’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, André Prokovsky’s The Three Musketeers, and multiple contemporary world premieres. She joined Oklahoma City Ballet’s Studio Company in 2017 and was promoted to Apprentice for the 2018-2019 season. Kara has been featured in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Sylphide, George Balanchine’s Four Temperaments, and more. Ms. Troester is very grateful and excited to perform in her hometown as a Corps de Ballet dancer.
