Dr. Sterlin Mosley holds a PhD in Communication from The University of Oklahoma, where he studied Intercultural Communication. His performing arts experience includes two years of studying Flute Performance and involvement in numerous musical theater performances. He served as the Executive Creative Director of OU University Sing and Creative Director of “Sooner Scandals” while an undergrad. His dance education began as an adult, and his training has included classes at The Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School and The University of Oklahoma Department of Dance.
Mosley has studied ballet with Finis Jhung, Michael Bearden, Penny Askew, Walker Martin, Ilya Kosadeyev, and Yulia Zhmutski. He recently co-founded Central Oklahoma Dance Company, a nonprofit ballet academy and performing ensemble in Norman aimed at increasing diversity with professional training and performance opportunities for underrepresented populations in classical ballet. He founded and directs the Adult Ballet Collective, a program of The Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Choteau School’s Community Division designed to give adult dancers of all levels performance opportunities.
