OKLAHOMA CITY BALLET TO PERFORM A FAMILY FAVORITE
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, March 16, 2016- Oklahoma City Ballet will whisk audiences away to Neverland April 15-17, 2016 for four performances of Peter Pan. Family friendly activities will be offered for all performances.
Presented by Express Employment Professionals, Paul Vasterling’s Peter Pan is the story we all know and love. This classic retelling of Peter Pan takes Wendy and her two brothers on a fantastic adventure to Neverland with the Lost Boys- who will never grow up- in grand form. Beautiful costumes, larger than life scenery, and characters that fly through the air make this full-length ballet entertaining for all ages. The Oklahoma City Philharmonic will perform an enchanting Debussy score that will take this performance to new heights.
Performances are Friday, April 15 at 8 pm; Saturday, April 16 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm; and Sunday, April 17 at 2:00 pm. Single tickets to Peter Pan may be purchased by calling (405) 848-TOES (8637). All performances take place at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 North Walker, Oklahoma City. Before all performances, kids are invited to make “Tinker Bell’s Wand” or a “Pirate’s Hook” in the south lobby provided by Oklahoma Contemporary. After the matinee performances, OKC Ballet dancers will be in the lobby for a meet and greet, while Braum’s provides refreshments of milk, punch, and cookies.

About Oklahoma City Ballet: Founded in 1972 by Ballet Russe dancers Yvonne Chouteau and Miguel Terekhov, Oklahoma City Ballet has been the city’s professional ballet company for 45 years. It is the resident dance Company of the Civic Center Music Hall and currently boasts 35 dancers from around the world. Led by Artistic Director Robert Mills, the Company produces four main stage productions per season in Oklahoma City and tours across Oklahoma and the surrounding states.
