NEWS RELEASE

Architecture of Dance Art Showcases Dancers

Shevaun Williams, of Shevaun Williams and Associates, will open a new art exhibition titled The Architecture of Dance, showcasing photography of Oklahoma City Ballet dancers.  The show will open with the Architecture of Dance event on January 28, and close on April 1, at the CHK| Central Boathouse on the Oklahoma River. These stunning black and white images were also featured in a calendar that debuted at Oklahoma City Ballet’s December performances of The Nutcracker. Williams has worked with Oklahoma City Ballet extensively.

“This project with Oklahoma City Ballet has certainly been a labor of love. My early desire to be a dancer when ‘I grew up’ comes full circle as the images combine two things that give me great joy, dance and photography,” said Williams. “It is also extremely rewarding to create with such talented artists.”

The show will open with the 5th annual Architecture of Dance event.  All photography hanging in the show will be available for sale, with reprints available. The CHK| Central Boathouse is open to the public Monday through Saturday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  No admission fee is charged to view the art.
