Frequently Asked Questions

We are so excited you will be joining us! Whether you’re a long-time fan or attending for the first time, we’re here to help make your experience the best one yet. Here are some of our Frequently Asked Questions.

Where is the performance?
Our professional company performs at the Civic Center Music Hall. The Music Hall is located at 201 N Walker Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102 in Downtown Oklahoma City.

Where do I park?
Most of our performances are held at the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City, therefore parking is sometimes a challenge. Be sure to be mindful of traffic, construction, or special events in the area. Street parking is limited but there are many private lots in the area. We tend to differ to the Civic Center’s Directions and Parking page on where and how to park. Most lots downtown do charge for event parking, so we recommend brining $20 in cash just in case.

What should I wear?
No matter what you’ve heard about ballet, we totally believe in comfort! No one will blink an eye if you show up in jeans or your office attire, but it’s fun to make it a night by dressing up too. The Ballet is actually a great place to debut your most enchanting get-up!

When should I arrive?
Double and triple check your tickets! The date and time of your performance is written on your ticket, and they do vary, so it’s worth checking. The lobby doors open one (1) hour before the start of the performance, and doors to the theatre open 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Be sure to allow yourself enough time for traffic, parking, and refreshment orders. If you miss the beginning of the ballet, you’ll have to watch it on a monitor until there’s a suitable break in the performance, which can often be at the first intermission.

What can I do for my child that has a Sensory Sensitivity?
Oklahoma City Ballet wants all of our patrons to feel comfortable and welcome! We’ve created a Downloadable PDF Guide to help our guests that may have a sensory sensitivity. We hope this helps our guests prepare their children for the different sights and sounds at a performance.

When do I clap?
Go Wild You would never clap in the middle of a symphony or a Broadway show, but at Oklahoma City Ballet, you can let yourself go! When the dancers are pulling off spectacular moves (spins, leaps, lifts), it’s perfectly acceptable to egg them on to greater heights with storms of applause or shouts of BRAVO! or BRAVA!
