OKC Ballet Presents Associate Board for Young Professionals

Oklahoma City Ballet Presents Associate Board for Young Professionals

This fall, Oklahoma City Ballet will be launching a new group for young professionals interested in the arts and community development. The Oklahoma City Ballet Associate Board is now open for applications to those living and working in the Oklahoma City and surrounding metro areas.

The objectives of this board are to help inspire young professionals to volunteer, encourage involvement in the Oklahoma City Arts community, and to grow the millennial age group of those interested in the Ballet.

Applications for the Associate Board, chaired by Kris and Jessi Murray of Spark Creative, will be open until September, 30, 2018. The co-chairs are excited for this new opportunity to bring more attention and involvement into the arts in OKC.

“I think the formation of the Associate Board is great because it offers young professionals the opportunity to serve the Ballet and Oklahoma City in a way that is experiential, intentional, relational, structured and fun,” said Murray.

Matt Wade, OKC Ballet Development and Events Coordinator, will serve as a staff liaison for the board and is excited for the new growth taking place.

“Oklahoma City’s young professionals are the backbone of the vibrant OKC culture,” said Wade.

“The new Oklahoma City Ballet Associate Board offers the best volunteer and social opportunities and will focus on keeping our young professionals thriving in our community!”

The Associate Board will host a fundraiser in early 2019, and donate all proceeds to outreach programs offered by the Ballet. With membership dues, all accepted applicants will receive tickets to three Oklahoma City Ballet performances and access to a VIP dress rehearsal for The Nutcracker.

Along with season performances, a variety of networking opportunities, both social and professional, will be made available to the members all year long.
