Oklahoma City Ballet Announces New Staff Members

Oklahoma City Ballet is pleased to announce three new employees have been added to their Administrative staff. Executive Director, Jo Lynne Jones, is excited to make this announcement ahead of the 2018- 2019 season set to begin in October 2018.

“I am thrilled about the new employees we’ve added to our already outstanding staff here at the Ballet, said Jones.”

“The new additions to our organization will definitely get our 2018-2019 season off to the right start and set us up for years of success.”

The new staff members include Matt Wade, Development and Events Coordinator, Christina Allen, Communications Manager, and John Kimbrell, Operations Manager.

Wade joins Oklahoma City Ballet from a corporate healthcare position where he worked as the PR and Marketing Director. As an addition to the Development team, Wade will serve as a key component to the growth of the organization.

“I am so excited to return to the Oklahoma City arts community with such a high caliber organization that is Oklahoma City Ballet,” said Wade.

“OKC Ballet is top-notch. I am looking forward to seeing both familiar and hopefully new faces at all of our events this year.”

Allen, entering the non-profit sector from a previous corporate position, is excited to join the Ballet and serve the organization with her skills in communications and marketing.

“I am incredibly excited for this opportunity to work in nonprofit, especially for an organization like Oklahoma City Ballet,” said Allen.

“I look forward to the upcoming season and the excitement that comes along with it.”

With renovations on the new Susan E. Brackett Dance Center almost complete, the new Operations Manager could not be hired at a better time. John Kimbrell will be able to ensure that the state-of-the-art facility is in the best hands.

“I am extremely proud to be part of a world-class organization with a facility to match,” said Kimbrell.

Jones, along with the rest of the Oklahoma City Ballet staff, are preparing for the 2018-2019 season beginning in October.

“Our season opener, Alice in Wonderland by Septime Webre, is a spectacular show and we are incredibly proud of to debut such an incredible piece for the first time in Oklahoma,” said Jones.

“This season may be our best one yet with a variety of performances that all include live music and superior dancing.”
